Responsibilities

  • Schedules, coordinates, assists, and oversees installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Performs initial configuration and setup of system; monitors system resources daily; makes recommendations for upgrades; and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network problems within the system.
  • Performs system tuning to enhance performance; develops backup schedules according to project and system requirements.
  • Tests new and updated operating system software, system file fixes and major product enhancements.
  • Reconfigures system and COTS software as required.
  • Configures project and user environments; adds, deletes and modifies user accounts and user groups.
  • Configures system security according to all appropriate security regulations and standards.
  • Creates a system disaster recovery plan.
  • Provides training and technical assistance as required.
  • Works closely with project office, customer, users, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance
  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security +, or SSCP)
  • Master of Science - 4 years IT experience, 3 of which must be specialized (to include 1.5 years in Unix systems administration) OR
  • Bachelor of Science - 7 years IT experience, 6 of which must be specialized (to include 3 years in UNIX systems administration) OR
  • Associate in Science - 9 years of IT experience, 7 of which must be specialized (to include 3.5 years in UNIX systems administration) OR
  • High School Diploma - 11 years of IT experience, 8 of which must be specialized (to include 4 years in UNIX systems administration).
  • Experience in numerous highly specialized IT disciplines involving a wide range of hardware/software solutions with at least half of the required years in concentrated, hands-on experience in Sharepoint, Windows, Solaris or Unix systems administration
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) environment
  • Knowledge of eRecords Management (eRM) based on Total Records and Information Management (TRIM) and the use of Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Knowledge of Evaluation Management System (EMS)
  • Knowledge of AMC Dashboard (AMC-D) Support
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) Account and License management
